                                                                                          INTRODUCTION

There are many innovations in the world and our topic, the AK-47 is one of them. This is an amazing innovation it is widely known for its power and its affordability that is why it’s our topic. We had some questions about our topic that we wanted to know. They are the following ; how did the AK-47 get its name? , Who was the inventor of the AK-47? , What was the reason for the AK-47 being created? , and how did the people respond to the invention of the AK-47? The AK-47 is a great innovation because it is affordable, easy to use, its ammo can be found easily, powerful, and it’s a very durable weapon that can endure practically any neglect that is thrown at it and still be able to work. Picture
The AK-47 is an outstanding gun some of its features are that its   magazine capacity can be 20, 30, or even 100 round capacity, it’s barrel’s length is 16.34 inches, the gun is 34.2 inches long ,and it weighs about 9.5 pounds. It has been in use since 1947 and to now. The weapon originated at the Soviet Union. The purpose of the weapon was to be able to be to use again and again without overheating and could be produced at that time by woman and children at factories. The AK-47 was suppose to be an automatic weapon that can be used against the Germans because at the time the Germans had automatic weapons and the Soviet Union had single shot weapons. It was also suppose to fire powerful 7.62x39 rounds. Despite the weapons popularity in being a great weapon it has 1  major flaw and it is when it is fired it is throwing itself around because it has a high recoil because of how it works. It has a big piece of metal coming bak and forth in the recoil which has high recoil which dramatically effects you and you also have the recoil of the bullet being fired.

I got the answer to my following questions; How did the AK-47 get its name? The answer is The AK-47 got its name because the AK in AK-47 is abbreviated for Avtomat Kalashnikov which means (Automatic of Kalashnikov) and the 47 for the year it was made 1947. Who was the inventor of the AK-47? Mikhail Kalashnikov a Russian from the Soviet Union was the Inventor and Designer of the AK-47. What was the reason for the AK-47 being created? Mikhail Kalashnikov said in an interview that I got from a web site “I made it to protect the motherland”, and how did people respond to the invention of the AK-47? People all over the world liked it because of the simplicity and cheapness of the AK-47 even military groups around the world wanted it and it is also used by poor countries because of its affordability and power.

The AK-47 although it has a low accuracy it makes up for that with its bullets power, 30 round magazine capacity, easy to use, easy disassembly, easy cleaning, affordability, and durability. This is why many countries ,militia groups and small armies use this weapon of choice . Also, the AK-47 inspired many weapons and many different types of AK-47's to be developed but if u brake them down they are basically the same original AK-47. That is why the AK-47 is a great innovation of war.
