AK-
Process Paper
Well first of all to start of this process paper, our History day project is about a weapon that is 1st of choice of many military forces, it is known around the world, and is one of the greatest innovations in the world when it comes to weaponry and that is the AK-47. We picked this topic because one of our group members was already doing an I search project on the AK-47. But we also wanted to do our project on the weapon because it is commonly used in military based video games and are in use by places such as Iraq and Pakistan. It is very dusty in those places and we wondered, wouldn’t the weapon need to be commonly cleaned. So that also, started off our project.
Well we started our project by organizing the information that we already had from the I Search project. Then, we looked at a sheet of paper of what is needed for our History Day Project that we got from our teacher MR. Booth who is our history teacher. After that we started off obtaining necessary information from web sites. We learned that the Inventor and designer was Mikhail Kalashnikov who served for the Soviet Union and got wounded during a battle. Later on we learn a few reasons why the AK-47 is the preferred gun and it is because it very durable, it is very uncomplicated to use, and is awfully simple to clean. We also, discovered that the AK-47 was the inspiration for other guns that. Later on the way of finishing our project we started looking at interviews on Mikhail Kalashnikov that were posted publicly on websites. Later on we started working on our time line since we had most of the other stuff completed.
After that we started collecting pictures of the AK-47 and Mikhail Kalashnikov each photo different from the other. We also started working on our annotated bibliography which took a bunch of time to do since we had a lot of assets for it because we had to include precisely where we got all our information from including were we got every image from. Then we started to work on the analysis which in our opinion the most important part because it tells why and how come the topic is important in other words why it is an innovation. Then we started to put everything on a website called Weebly that lets us have our own website posted on line for free. We later worked on this process paper that you are currently reading.
From doing this History Day project we learned a lot about our topic such as its important properties that make it such a great innovation and by doing this project on a web site we learned how to make a proper website for future uses. Thank you for taking the time to read our History Day project.
